How does a week on the sunny Gold Coast playing three of the Gold Coast's top golf courses, staying at one of the Gold Coast's top resorts, meeting new mates from social golf clubs from all over Australia and playing for $10K in prizes sound?
The 4th Australian Social Golf Clubs Championship will be held over 54 holes on the Gold Coast from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th August at Royal Pines Resort and Palm Meadows with the third venue yet to be confirmed.
The coverted "green jacket" will be back where last year, the green jacket was only awarded to the best overall player however after player feedback it was decided that each division will now vie for their own jacket, a sign that organisers really do read those surveys!
The Championship's entry fee will include 4 rounds of golf including electric cart, practice round, welcome cocktail party, Championship polo shirt and cap, lunch daily, player gift pack, gala presentation night, daily prizes, food, beverage and entertainment at each function.
The Radisson Resort, long term sponsor of the event has come to the party once again with a great accomodation package including full buffet breakfasts each day.
The non-handicappers event is on once again for those golfers who do not hold an official Golf Australia or Golf Access handicap along with the Champion Social Golf Club title, State of Origin and Individual Championship titles are also up for grabs and will be hotly contested!
To be eligible to enter the Champion Australian Social Club event, clubs must field a minimum of three players from your social golf club. The three best daily scores out of your team of four will count toward your tally. You may enter as many teams as you like eg: Palm Meadows A, Palm Meadows B, Palm Meadows C etc.
Social golfers from all over Oz are invited to attend this annual celebration of social golf and everything that being a social golfer means...fun...golf...and more fun on and off the course!
If you want a golf escape to the Gold Coast and would like to play in social golf's version of "The Masters" and you 'reckon that you would look pretty nifty in a green jacket!
