The Wave is awarded high honours 27 June 2007
Love it or hate it, you just can't ignore it.  The owners of Palm Meadows Golf Course are proud to announce that The Wave has captured the attention of judges from one of the world's most prestigious building awards.

The wave swept away some of the world's best buildings to take the Silver Award in the 2006 Emporis Skyscraper Award.

The $150 million tower placed second in the global awards, ahead of the Eureka Tower in Melbourne, 1180 Peachtree in the United States and Hesperia Tower in Spain.

Macau casino tycoon Dr Stanley Ho, (Owner of Palm Meadows) who developed the Wave, said it was an amazing achievement to be recognised within such a prestigious field of nominees.  "We wanted to create a truly landmark building, an international signature for the Gold Coast that would help put the city on the world stage and it seems we have achieved just that".
